I have found that you need two kinds of newsreaders. One for video and audio and one for messages.
The best newsreader for streaming videos and audio is BinTube. I have not seen other newsreaders that work so well in streaming the content as it’s downloaded. BinTube automatically decodes, combines, extracts and repairs files. I have also use Grabit for this, but it doesn’t work nearly as well.
I use Outlook Exchange for messages. You can also use the Thunderbird client if you want.
