In what is being called a landmark case in the UK, a judge decided to order BT to censor Newzbin. The censorship of the internet continues to be driven by the Hollywood media types who are confused about how the internet works.
Loz Kaye, the leader of the UK Pirate Party, puts it well:
It appears that our digital rights are to be determined by Hollywood, not parliament.
If the industry really wanted to stop illegal downloads then they should make it easy to do legally. Just look at a solution like Spotify. Make it easy and people won’t bother with the complexities of finding it where the industry does’nt like it.

As you can tell from looking at the list, there is all kinds of adult images and videos on usenet.
The names of the newsgroups on the list have been abbreviated. The a.b part of the name stands for alt.binaries. The alt.binaries section of Usenet is where you find images and videos relating to the newsgroup.
